galvanized sheet
Galvanized steel sheet is a thin steel sheet with a layer of zinc adhered to its surface by immersing it in molten zinc. Currently, continuous galvanizing is mainly used for production, which means that coiled steel sheets are continuously immersed in a zinc-containing plating tank to produce galvanized steel sheets.

Product Standards
International Standards
ISO Standards: The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has developed a series of relevant standards, such as ISO 3244 and ISO 3254, specifying the technical requirements for galvanized coils, including dimensions, weight, surface quality, and zinc coating thickness.
ASTM Standards: Standards such as ASTM A653/A653M from the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) mainly target the US market and production, specifying the various properties and indicators of galvanized coils.
Domestic Standards
GB/T Standards: GB/T 2518-2019 is an important national standard for hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and strips, detailing its technical requirements, including dimensions, shape, weight, surface quality, and zinc coating weight.
YB/T Standards: Industry standards such as YB/T 5148-2006 also specify the dimensions, shape, weight, surface quality, and zinc coating weight of hot-dip galvanized steel strips and sheets.
Applications
Construction: Can be used in the manufacturing of structures such as roofs, walls, awnings, ventilation ducts, and bridges. Its excellent corrosion resistance can withstand wind, rain, and various harsh environments, ensuring that buildings remain aesthetically pleasing and stable for a long time.
Automotive Manufacturing: Used in the production of car bodies, chassis, doors, and automotive parts. The high strength, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance of galvanized coils help improve the safety and reliability of automobiles and extend their service life.
Home Appliances: It is a commonly used material for the outer casings of home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners. Its good formability can meet the needs of various complex appearance designs, while its corrosion resistance makes home appliances more durable.
Communication Equipment: Widely used in the manufacturing of communication equipment such as base stations, towers, and antennas, effectively preventing rust and corrosion of equipment in outdoor environments and ensuring the normal operation of communication equipment.
Product Introduction
Galvanized coils are thin steel sheets that have been immersed in molten zinc to adhere a thin layer of zinc to their surface. Currently, continuous galvanizing is mainly used for production, where coils of steel sheets are continuously immersed in a molten zinc bath to produce galvanized steel sheets. It has the following characteristics:
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The zinc layer isolates the steel sheet from the external environment, effectively preventing oxidation and rust, and greatly extending the service life of the steel.
Aesthetic Appearance: It has a silvery-white metallic luster and a relatively smooth surface, providing a good appearance for various products.
Good Processing Performance: It can undergo various processing operations such as stamping, bending, and welding to meet the forming needs of different products.
National Standards
GB/T 2518-2019 standardizes the relevant indicators of galvanized coils, with some of the content as follows:
Performance Level Classification: Includes different levels such as general purpose, mechanical interlocking, stamping, and deep drawing to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
Substrate Types: Includes cold-rolled coils and hot-rolled pickled coils.
Galvanized Layer Classification:
Double-sided Equal Thickness Galvanized Layer: Specifies different coating weights and corresponding codes, such as Z60 and Z80, representing the double-sided zinc coating weight per square meter (in grams).
Unequal Thickness Coating: The different coating weights on the upper and lower surfaces can be indicated according to regulations.
Zinc Layer Surface Structure: Divided into different types such as normal spangle, small spangle, no spangle, and zinc-iron alloy, with corresponding codes.
Surface Quality Classification: Includes ordinary surface, superior surface, and high-grade surface to meet the surface quality requirements of different users.
Surface Treatment Classification: Includes passivation, oiling, painting, phosphating, and no treatment. Different surface treatment methods can give galvanized coils different performance characteristics, such as passivation reducing rust in humid storage and transportation conditions, and oiling further improving corrosion resistance.
