Galvanized strip steel is made by coating a long, narrow strip of cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel with varying amounts of zinc or zinc alloy.
Galvanized steel sheet is a thin steel sheet with a layer of zinc adhered to its surface by immersing it in molten zinc. Currently, continuous galvanizing is mainly used for production, which means that coiled steel sheets are continuously immersed in a zinc-containing plating tank to produce galvanized steel sheets.
Regarding the application of zinc-aluminum-magnesium products in the highway guardrail field, there is also the group standard T/CECS 10434-2024 "Continuously Hot-Dip Galvanized Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Coated Steel Strip for Highway Guardrails", which will come into effect on May 1, 2025, providing technical support and normative basis for the application of zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coated steel plates in the highway, bridge, and other industries.
